Local jokester turns his ‘emotional support beer’ into reality for charity
Floyd Hayes of Brooklyn registered his beer as an emotional support animal as a joke. Then breweries started to contact him. Now there is indeed Emotional Support Beer — and buying it raises money for service dogs for veterans and first responders.

Bonnie Harris, Gander SPCA, remembers Unga, bonobo who landed at Gander in 2001
Bonnie Harris was the manager of the Gander and Area SPCA in 2001. She remembers caring for the animals aboard the stranded flights after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 closed United States airspace, including Unga, the bonobo chimp who died last week.
