Bronx street co-named to honor NYPD Officer Patrick McGovern, who died of 9/11-related illness

The Bronx intersection of  Eastchester Road and Rhinelander Avenue outside the 49th Precinct has been co-named for NYPD Officer Patrick McGovern, who died of World Trade Center-related cancer in 2019. The 19-year NYPD veteran spent time at the rescue and recovery efforts after the September 11th terrorist attacks, reports News 12.
