Darren Drake bill named for N.J. man killed in NYC terror attack now expected to win approval in Congress

The Darren Drake Act looks likely to become law.

The act, named for Darren Drake, 32, one of the eight people murdered in the October 31, 2017 terrorist truck attack on a Lower Manhattan bike path, would make it difficult for terrorists to rent vehicles, reports Jonathan D. Salant for NJ Advance Media.

A rented truck was used to mow down innocent cyclists in the Halloween attack.

Both the House and Senate’s negotiators agreed to the bill, making its approval nearly certain.
