Ann Van Hine, widow of firefighter who died on 9/11, speaks in Bath, ME

Ann Van Hine’s husband Bruce Van Hine was a firefighter who was killed in the line of duty during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

She volunteers with the 9/11 Tribute Center and speaks to tour groups and schoolchildren about the attacks. She also discusses with the children what their generation can do to prevent similar attacks from happening. On April 9, 2016, she spoke to children at Bath First Church of the Nazarene in Maine reports WCSH.

“I had a personal loss in the midst of a national tragedy,” Van Hine said. “And when I hear these attacks on the television and on the radio, I realize there are other families going through that same thing.”
