‘He did not deserve this’: Hundreds attend vigil for 9/11 responder injured in hit-and-run

Former NYS Court Officer Mark Vobis responded to the World Trade Center terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. On the same date in 2022, he was terribly injured in a Nevada hit and run accident while riding his bicycle. The 53-year-old is now partly paralyzed and faces a very long recovery.

His friends and supporters held a candlelight vigil for him recently, reported Brett Clarkson for the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

They hope that the publicity might help in finding the driver who did this. A $25,000 reward has been offered for information that would lead to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator.
