Twenty years after his mother’s death on September 11, Michael Trerotola shares his place in history

Michael Trerotola spent much of his childhood believing that his mother died in a fire when he and his twin sister were 3 years old. When he was 10, he discovered that his mother, Lisa Trerotola, had been killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks while working for the Port Authority of NY & NJ in the World Trade Center’s North Tower.

Michael spoke to Alexandra Marvar of TCNJ (The College of NJ) Magazine about his experience.
