Finalists for New Zealander of the Year include mosque attack survivor

Finalists for this year’s New Zealander of the Year Awards – Ngā Tohu Pou Kōhure o Aotearoas – include Farid Ahmed, who lost his wife, Husna, in the Christchurch mosque terrorist attacks in 2019. Farid went on to forgive the killer, win an international peace prize, and write a book in tribute to his wife.

Winners will be announced on March 31, 2021, reports the NZ Herald.
