Indonesia to release suspected Bali bombings mastermind

One of the world’s most notorious extremists, Abu Bakar Bashir, the man behind the 2002 Bali nightclub bombings that killed 202 people, cleric and leader of the terror group Jemaah Islamiah (JI), an al Qaeda affiliate, will be released from prison this week.

Bashir, 82, has been serving time for his association with terrorist training camps, reports Reuters.
