9/11 Memorial in Kewaskum, Wisconsin starting to take shape

A new memorial to honor those killed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks is underway in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, hometown of Andrea Haberman, who was killed in the attacks.

The future memorial will be on the southeast corner of Fond du Lac Avenue and First Street.

Gordon Haberman, Andrea’s father, told Judy Steffes of the Washington County Insider, “Primary in our goals is that this memorial will for generations to come, stand as a historical touchstone linking the past event of 9/11/2001 to the present. …It will stand as an important source of information for young people in understanding the sacrifices of 9/11, yet also portray the strength, spirit and resolve of America.”
