World Trade Center arts project finds new president

The long-delayed performing arts center scheduled for the World Trade Center site has a new president.

Leslie Koch, former head of the Trust for Governors Island, will take over from Maggie Boepple, who will continue as an advisor, reports Nancy Coleman for the New York Times.

Koch said, “Whether you’re a native New Yorker, however old you were 18 years ago — that idea that this is a shared space and that culture is part of it, and bringing that idea of culture to life here, is very profoundly moving to me.”
