Democratic and Republican Congresspeople say that they are working to indefinitely extend and fund the Victim Compensation Fund, which will run out of money next year without Congressional action.
For months now, sick recovery workers have been forced to beg politicians to extend the fund. Finally, a hearing will be held this week and a vote is expected next month, reports Marc Liverman of CBS 2.
