More than 100 teens given free prom dresses at NYPD giveaway

The NYPD’s 113th Precinct hosted their annual Prom Impact, a prom dress giveaway in Queens, for  more than 100 teens who walked a red carpet and posed on a throne wearing their new gowns.

Teens could choose from more than a thousand donated dresses and suits. Bags, shoes, and other accessories were also available.

“I feel great in this dress,” Yerlene Ortega, 18, told Shari Logan of the NY Post. “I’m ready for my prom now.”
