A mother and daughter found three messages in a bottle on the shores of Lake Michigan and were surprised to discover that they were written on September 10, 2001.
Amy Gasaway and her daughter Amanda Butler discovered a yellow Pepsi bottle bearing an ‘open me’ sign. Inside were notes from a teacher and two students from Cascade High School in Clayton, Indiana – a state and a world away.
Now Butler and Gasaway are trying to find the authors – teacher Diane Hint, and students Zachary Catlin and John Thomas – and reunite them with the notes, reports Jimmy McCloskey for Metro UK.
