Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney wore an FDNY turnout coat to the Met Ball last night to raise awareness for the need to fund the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund, which will run out of money next year, writes Mara Siegler for the NY Post.
She matched the coat with a bright yellow dress by Vassilis Emmanuel Zoulias, calling it “fashion with a purpose.”
