Farmingdale street renamed to honor FDNY fire Captain John S. Moschella

In Farmingdale, the corner of Rita Place and Crestwood Boulevard is now known as FDNY Captain John S. Moschella Way, honoring the FDNY fire captain who died last year of World Trade Center-related cancer.

The renamed corner is near the home where Moschella spent his childhood, reports CBS New York. He spent 28 years with the FDNY.
