Suspect found guilty in failed New York City subway pipe bombing

The jury found subway pipe bomber Akayed Ullah guilty on all counts today.

Ullah detonated a homemade pipe bomb beneath Times Square subway station during morning rush hour on December 11, 2017. The blast burned him and injured three other people.

Prosecutors said Ullah told authorities, “I did it for the Islamic State,” reports Larry Neumeister for ABC News.

Ullah now awaits sentencing. He may receive a life sentence.
