Mounir El Motassadeq, one of the two men serving prison terms for their part in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, has been released from a German prison and deported to Morocco.
El Motassadeq worked in the notorious Hamburg cell of terrorists that included three of the 9/11 pilots, and attendied al Qaeda training camps. He was convicted in 2005 of being an accessory to murder and sentenced to fifteen years. He will be barred from returning to Germany until 2064, reports Bill Sanderson for the New York Daily News.
The other man convicted in connection with the 9/11 attacks is Zacarias Moussaoui, who is serving a life term in the U.S.
