Bill would give 9/11 first responders unlimited sick leave

A proposed New York state bill would, if passed, give all 9/11 first responders unlimited sick leave, reports News 12 of Westchester. A similar bill was signed into law last year, but that granted unlimited sick leave to New York City workers suffering from 9/11-related illnesses; this proposed bill would extend the privilege to recovery workers from other areas, including state utility workers at the site.

No details were mentioned about other recovery workers.

The bill was introduced into NY State Senate last week and will proceed to the state Assembly.
