Framingham nonprofits receive Harvard Pilgrim grants

The Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation will donate grants to five nonprofit organizations in Framingham through the Community Spirit 9/11 Mini-Grant program reports Framingham Wicked Local. The program was founded to honor the Harvard Pilgrim employees killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

The organizations receiving grants were the American Diabetes Association ($2,000); Daniel’s Table Inc. ($500); One Mission ($1,000); United Way of Tri County — Pearl St. Cupboard ($550); and the Corey C. Griffin Foundation ($500).

Each year, every Harvard Pilgrim employee may choose a local charity to receive a $500 grant, which is completely funded by the foundation.
