Hundreds of FDNY members attended St. Rita’s Catholic Church for the funeral of FDNY EMS Lt. Edith Torres, who died of World Trade Center-related cervical cancer, reported Chelsia Rose Marcius and Ginger Adams Otis in the New York Daily News. Torres was 46.
She survived the terrorist attack. Her partner, Paramedic Carlos Lillo, was killed when the towers collapsed.
