A Philadelphia man named David Hale Sylvester is hugging strangers to honor his friend Kevin Bowser reports Jenice Armstrong in the Philadelphia Daily News. Mr. Bowser was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Sylvester traveled to the geographic center of the United States — Lebanon, Kansas — with the goal of hugging 100 strangers. Lebanon has roughly 200 residents. His goal is to spread positivity. He has travelled to towns touched by violence to hug people.
