Lois Weiss writes in the May 4, 2016 New York Post that while Silverstein Properties has two options for the new 2 World Trade Center, the original Norman Foster design with the diamond-shaped top, and the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) “stairstep” design apparently they are currently in favour of the BIG design.
The BIG design features terraces facing east, which makes the building appear to look away from the Memorial.
