Stark underground space at World Trade Center will host a riot of ads

“Inch by inch, the new World Trade Center is being stripped of its connection to the World Trade Center that was attacked on September 11, 2001,” writes David W. Dunlap in the New York Times.

He mentions the absence of the Sphere, the hiding of the “tridents”, the replacement of the damaged panels of the south bridge.

Now the corridor of the east-west gallery of the Oculus below the North Tower footprint, is due to sport a 280-foot electronic billboard.
