More than a dozen high-end or celebrity-chef-owned restaurants will open soon in Lower Manhattan, writes Colin Mixson in the Downtown Express.
The new Oculus will host Epicerie Boulud. Nobu will come south early next year. The top of 70 Pine Street is set to become a restaurant run by English chef April Bloomfield. Amada, a tapas restaurant will open soon in Brookfield Place. Jean-Georges Vongerichten is set to open two large restaurants in the South Street Seaport. Eataly is coming to 4WTC. Fowler and Wells, and a new bistro will open in the Beekman Hotel. Nammos by the Sea will top the Battery Maritime Building. 109 Washington St. and the AKA Wall Street hotel at 84 William St. are both opening new restaurants.
