9/11 survivors: We were saved by the man with the red bandanna

During the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, banker Welles Remy Crowther, 24, saved at least 5 people from the burning 78th floor of the South Tower of the World Trade Center, writes Tom Rinaldi in the NY Post. He later became known as the Man in the Red Bandanna.

It took quite a while for Welles’ story to become known. A new book coming out in September will tell the story.
