9/11 firefighter saves Queens neighbor 15 years to the day after attacks

Firefighter Brian Finley, who arrived at the World Trade Center site as the second tower was collapsing and spent months at the site, saved his neighbor’s life exactly 15 years later, reported Stephen Rex Brown, New York Daily News.

Finlay had just finished a tour with Ladder Co. 164 when he heard his neighbors screaming and ran to help, finding a neighbor unconscious. After Finlay’s CPR, the man regained consciousness and is now recovering well.

“‘That could have been any day of the year, but the fact it was on 9/11 made it something special, you know?’ Finley said.”
