9/11 Memorial Glade dedication ceremony held at Ground Zero

Seventeen years after the World Trade Center recovery effort ended, the Memorial Glade has opened to honor those recovery workers who have died of site-related illnesses.

The glade is a pathway lined with six monoliths interlaced with World Trade Center steel. The path is near the Memorial’s South Tower memorial pool.

No names of the dead will be added.

Video of the ceremony can be seen here, recorded by CBS.
