9/11 memorial at Chico fire station vandalized

Vandals have again hit the 9/11 Memorial in Chico, California, damaging a personal memorial to FDNY Lt. Paul Mitchell by his sister. For the last four months, vandals have burned flags and done other damage at the memorial at Chico Fire Department Station 5, reports Rick Silva for Paradise Post.

Marie Mitchell will create a new memorial to her brother, saying, “I am not going to let the [vandals win].”

Please contact the Chico Police Department at 530-897-4911 if you know anything about this desecration.
