30 pear trees planted at 9/11 Memorial in Kewaskum

Thirty pear trees — descendants of the World Trade Center’s Survivor Tree — have been planted at a 9/11 memorial in progress in Kewaskum, Wisconsin. Kewaskum was the hometown of Andrea Lyn Haberman, who was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

The trees are between 12 and 15 feet tall, reports Judy Steffes of Washington County Insider. They are being planted in a circle around a piece of steel from the North Tower of the World Trade Center.

The Memorial will be located at 1308 Fond du Lac Avenue in Kewaskum, WI.
