18,000 daffodils planted on Flatbush Avenue to honor 9/11, COVID victims

The beloved Daffodil Project, which plants daffodil bulbs around the five boroughs each year to honor those killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, doubled in size this year to include people killed by COVID, reports Anna Quinn for Prospect Heights Patch.

Flatbush Avenue will be filled with 18,000 daffodils next spring to honor those we lost to COVID.

More than eight million daffodil bulbs have been planted through the Daffodil Project.
