13 Years after 9/11 Terror Attack Families Notified of New ID

New York – 13 years after the 9/11 terror attack, the Medical Examiner’s office of New York City notified families that additional remains of their relatives have been identified.

At least one Borough Park family and at least one Israeli family have been notified, a source familiar with the case told JP.

Family members confirmed they were notified earlier today that additional remains of their loved ones have been identified. Family members said they are working on bringing it to Kever Yisroel (Jewish burial).

Remains of Abraham Nethanel Ilowitz HY”D (from Borough Park) were among the remains that were identified by the Medical Examiner, a family member confirmed.

Julie Bolcer, a spokesperson for the Medical Examiner, confirmed that more parts recovered from ground zero are being identified thanks to new technology. The Medical Examiner is notifying family members of their findings.
