September 11 Healing Garden dedicated to FDNY heroes is vandalized

Staten Island’s September 11 Healing Garden suffered from an act of what seems to be vandalism, as two of its benches were knocked over and damaged.

The garden is near Rescue 5’s firehouse and honors the 78 FDNY Staten Island firefighters killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, reported Joseph Ostapiuk in the Staten Island Advance.

Garden organizers have promised to repair the damage.
