James Lanza, firefighter who helped save 16 World Trade Center attack victims, dies at 71 from 9/11-related illness

Retired Firefighter James (Jimmy) Lanza has died of World Trade Center-related brain cancer, reports Thomas Tracy in the New York Daily News.

Lanza is the tenth FDNY firefighter to die of 9/11-related cancer this year — and it’s only April.
