Bucks County 9/11 widow makes new push for cockpit security gate with Saracini Aviation Safety Act

The Saracini Aviation Safety Act (H.R. 911) would require airlines to install wire-mesh gates on commercial planes between the cockpit door and the cabinto protect the flight deck, writes Ian Bush of CBS Philly on March 16, 2016.

The bill, named for Captain Victor Saracini, the pilot of United Flight 175, seemingly has broad support from both parties in Congress, but has not passed

Ellen Saracini, widow of Victor Saracini, says, “all of those people are not with us here today for one reason, and for one reason only: the cockpit was breached.”
