Amanda Bernocco writes in The Southampton Press that Warren Booth III pleaded guilty to a felony charge of grand larceny. Booth admitted to stealing money from the Arthur J. Jones Scholarship Fund.
Arthur J. Jones was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 while working at Carr Futures in the North Tower of the World Trade Center. He was 37.
As part of his plea deal, Booth agreed to being put on probation for one year, paying back the money he stole, and completing 840 hours of community service. By accepting the deal, Mr. Booth waived his right to a grand jury and his right to appeal the case.
