James J. Marshall, Jr., of Ladder 84 has been killed in a car crash.
Marshall, 43, who joined the FDNY a month after 9/11, died at the scene after crashing into a tractor-trailer, report Thomas Tracy and Michael Sheridan for the New York Daily News. The truck driver was injured.
FF Marshall’s father, James Marshall, Sr., was an FDNY firefighter who served at the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and who died of World Trade Center-related illness in 2014.
