Officer Connor Boalick, 27, the NYPD officer who was shot in the back on duty on Christmas Eve, went home in time for Christmas day, saved by his bullet-resistant vest.
His relieved parents told Morgan Chittum, Ellen Moynihan, Brittany Kriegstein, Rocco Parascandola, Wes Parnell and Thomas Tracy of the New York Daily News that it was a Christmas miracle.
“He’s feeling good and that’s all that matters,” Donald Boalick, Officer Boalick’s father, said.
Officer Boalick, who has been on the job for two years, was shot while responding to a domestic violence call. The shooter has been arrested.
