The Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund‘s third annual Bini Winter Bash was a success last week, with almost 400 attendees, reported Carol Ann Benanti in the Staten Island Advance.
The Fund’s newest project is Carl’s House, a community resource center for addicts and their families. Services at Carl’s House are free.
Carl Vincent Bini, firefighter with the FDNY’s Rescue Co. 5, was killed on September 11, 2001, while responding to the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
“Since we opened Carl’s House, more than 500 families have received help,” Bini Fund President, Massimo DiDonna, told the crowd.
