A 26-foot tall model of the new 1 World Trade Center built from more than 250,000 Lego bricks has opened at Legoland California.
Eight “master builders” spent more than 1,200 hours to build the model, which is part of an elaborate new section that depicts the National September 11th Memorial, the new transportation hub and other Lower Manhattan landmarks, writes Lori Weisberg in the San Diego Union Tribune. The landscape includes sound effects and a view from the observation deck.
