The current cast of Come from Away, which includes nine of the original members, sat down with Playbill’s Ruthie Fierberg to talk about why they love the show so much and to reveal some backstage stories.
The cast—Petrina Bromley, Geno Carr, Jenn Colella, Joel Hatch, De’Lon Grant, Alex Finke, Chad Kimball, Jim Walton, Caesar Samayoa, Q. Smith, Astrid Van Wieren, and Sharon Wheatley—all play many roles as they tell the true story of the people of Gander, Newfoundland, and the thousands of passengers and crew aboard the 38 planes that were diverted there after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Most of the cast don’t know how many different people they play each night.
The cast also express how the show inspires audience members to share September 11th stories with them.
