In just eight months, the September 11th memorial for Springfield, Massachusetts has reached its fundraising goal of $300,000, reports Paul Tuthill of the WAMC Northeast Report.
Ground has been broken for the memorial, which will include a 12-foot beam from the World Trade Center.
Completion is scheduled for next year.
