U.S. District Judge George Daniels has rejected Saudi Arabia’s attempt to dismiss the lawsuits brought against its government by a number of September 11th family members in the case In re: Terrorist Attacks on September 11, 2001, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, No. 03-md-01570, reports Jonathan Stempel for Reuters.
Judge Daniels said that he found plaintiffs “narrowly articulate[d] a reasonable basis” to enable him to reject Saudi Arabia’s claim, under JASTA (the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act).
