Shawn Daniel, a St. Louis paramedic who claimed he saved people during the Boston Marathon bombing, has been found to have been lying, report Eric Rasmussen and Erin Smith of WFXT FOX25.
Daniel’s story was that he rushed to the scene of the 2013 attacks to save victims. He showed a photo of someone helping the injured and claimed to be the hero in the photo.
The St. Louis Fire Department has given FOX25 Investigates a letter confirming that Daniel’s story was a hoax. He was not present at the Boston attack and helped no one there. The photo he tried to deceive people with was of a Boston firefighter.
