American survivors of Paris terror attack Helen Wilson and Mohamed Amghar speak out after emotional testimony

Survivors of the November 13, 2015 Paris terrorist attack on the Bataclan concert hall Helen Wilson and Mohamed Amghar spoke to Kelly Cobiella, Nancy Ing and Bill O’Reilly of NBC News about testifying against the surviving attacker and his accomplices.

The November 13, 2015 attacks were a chain of coordinated terrorist attacks across Paris, targeting restaurants and entertainment venues with automatic weapons. One hundred and thirty-one people were killed, and hundreds more injured.

Ms. Wilson lost her boyfriend, Nick Alexander in the attacks and was badly injured herself.

She noticed that the defendants did not seem to ignore her testimony. “They were looking at me when I looked over. They weren’t ignoring me, so that’s something, isn’t it. So who knows, maybe I did touch one of them. … Maybe their heartstrings are starting to get pulled now.”

Stadium employee Mohamed Amghar was also injured in the attack and testified. He told reporters, “His Islam is another Islam,” he said. “It’s not my Islam.I don’t believe we go to paradise by killing people.”

The trial is expected to at least May. Family members of victims and survivors are allowed 20 minutes of testimony each.
