A new documentary, You Are Here: A Come from Away Story, will air on the evening of the 17th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
You Are Here: A Come from Away Story interviews the people of Newfoundland who opened their homes, arms and hearts to more than 6,500 stranded passengers and air crew on September 11, 2001, when planes were grounded after the terrorist attacks.
A popular musical about the kindness of the Canadian people to the stranded “plane people” or “come from aways” has been beloved by audiences for years now, reports The Canadian Press.
The 84-minute-long HBO Canada documentary hopes to more fully tell the story of the hosting of the planes. Air time is Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 9:00pm ET.
