A call of a suspicious package sent a large contingent of police to West and Vesey Streets, the northwest corner of the World Trade Center complex, but officers found a man attempting to set himself on fire instead, reports WCBS 880. The emotionally troubled man was taken into custody.
The incident was reported at approximately 4:30pm.
