The first annual Blue Lives Matter Gala was held on Saturday night, honoring police officers killed in the line of duty, reports Natalie Duddridge of NY1.
The wives and families of ten fallen officers were honored at the event at the Hilton Garden Inn in Staten Island.
The event honored non-profit organizations who work to strengthen the bond between police and community and look after loved ones of those killed in the line of duty.
