Jury selection began today for the trial of accused Chelsea bomber Ahmad Rahimi, reported NY1 News. The trial will begin on October 1st.
Thirty people were injured on September 17, 2016 after the bomb he allegedly planted went off on 23rd Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. Two more devices were found in the next two days, allegedly planted by Rahimi. One did not detonate, the other exploded without injuring anyone.
Shortly afterwards, Rahimi was arrested for the bombings after a shootout. He pled not guilty to all charges.
