The chamber musical Come from Away, which tells the story of some of the 6,500 passengers forced to land in tiny Gander, Newfoundland when US airspace closed due to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, will open on Broadway in 2017 writes Tom Millyard of New York Theatre Guide.com.
Come from Away has had successful runs at San Diego’s La Jolla Theatre, Seattle Rep, and will soon play Toronto. The musical was created by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, who wrote the book, music & lyrics.
