James Delman, who worked as a locksmith and carpenter with NYC’s Transit Authority for three months after the terrorist attacks of 9/11, has been awarded $369,454 from the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund for his pulmonary fibrosis, reports Justin Zaremba of NJ Advance Media for NJ.com.
Delman needs a bilateral lung transplant, but is waiting for acceptance into transplant programs at the University of Pennsylvania Medicine Lung Transplant Program or the Temple University Lung Center.
